Rachel Sippy, PhD student in Epidemiology, is awarded an American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Travel Award

Rachel Sippy, a student in our PhD in Epidemiology program, received an American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) 2017 Annual Meeting Travel Award, which is supported in part by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

This is one of the Society’s premier awards that is both honorific and substantive. This unique award demonstrates the Society’s focus on professional development and career advancement and facilitates participation of chosen tropical medicine researchers and trainees from around the world in the Annual Meeting.
